REAL QUESTIONS

    • Challenges with speaking up for themselves

    • Patterns of being in relationships that leave them feeling hurt and confused

    • Wanting to better understand themselves and others

    • Unpacking trauma that has been weighing them down

    • Wanting to make a change but unsure of how to get started

  • The first session is about building a safe, clear foundation for our work together. We will start by reviewing the intake forms you completed prior to our meeting, ensuring I have a good understanding of your history. We will also walk through important policies and procedures so you feel fully informed about how the practice works. From there, we spend time getting to know each other, exploring our communication styles and preferences to ensure we are a good match. Most importantly, we will discuss your primary and secondary reasons for seeking therapy, allowing you to say more about what you hope to achieve and how we can begin aligning your life with your wants.

  • You can contact me by visiting this link. Use the form to let me know how you feel I can best support you. From there, we’ll set up a 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.

  • You can expect to feel multiple feelings at once and at different times. Engaging in therapy is a process that involves the full body—because feelings, emotions, and memories live in us, even things we thought we had forgotten.

Because this work is so deep, it is normal to experience a wide range of sensations. You might feel a sense of relief as you finally "say more" and give voice to your truth, but you may also feel a bit tired or vulnerable as your system processes these shifts. My role is to provide a steady, secure space for all of these feelings to exist without judgment, moving at a pace that honors your body’s readiness.

  • The duration of therapy truly depends on you. Every person makes progress at a different speed and comes in with unique needs. To truly begin "saying more" and seeing lasting alignment in your life, I typically recommend that clients expect to engage in therapy for at least three months consecutively. This allows us the time to build a strong foundation, move past the "surface" issues, and begin the deeper work of unpacking and integration.

  • As a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C), I am legally and ethically bound by a strict code of ethics, as well as federal (HIPAA) and state laws, to protect your privacy.

Because Say More Therapy is a fully virtual practice, I take extra measures to ensure your information stays secure:

    • Encrypted Platforms: I use HIPAA-compliant software for all video sessions and client records.

    • Private Environment: I conduct all sessions from a private, secure location to ensure our conversations are never overheard.

    • Legal Protection: Your records are stored in a secure, encrypted electronic health record (EHR) system.

Confidentiality is the bedrock of our work together.

  • Therapy is a deeply personal process, and everyone measures success differently.

Unlike taking a pill for immediate relief, therapy entails unpacking years of living to make changes—both those you are aware of and those you aren't yet. Because of this, it often takes more time than we’d like to feel the shift, and it’s important to remember that progress is rarely linear.

I am always open to feedback. If you feel you need a different approach or a change in pace, I encourage you to "say more" about that so we can adjust.

Finally, the relationship between therapist and client is the most important part of the work, and every therapist isn’t a perfect fit for every person. If we begin working together and find we are not the right fit, I will help you create a plan to find the right therapist if you’re interested in that support. Your healing journey is the priority, and I am happy to help you get exactly what you need.

  • Absolutely. As a social worker, I am dedicated to working with a diverse range of clients who can benefit from my services. While I emphasize a specialization in working with Black, queer, and neurodivergent folks, I welcome anyone who feels my approach to therapy is a good fit for their needs.

As a member of these communities myself, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to find therapy from someone who truly understands the nuance of our lived experiences. I believe deeply in the importance of "for us, by us" care for those who need it, but my goal is to help anyone find their voice and align their life with their wants. If you feel a connection to my mission and my style of work, I would be honored to support you.

  • Yes. As a social worker and therapist, I bring a unique lens to the work of healing, advocacy, and communication. I am available for speaking engagements, podcast appearances, panel discussions, and professional consultations. Additionally, I offer non-legal mediation and am open to other collaborative projects that benefit from a social worker’s perspective. If you have an initiative that requires a grounded, clinical, and community-focused voice, I would love to connect.
